Location: Chicago, IL (Local Candidates Only) Contract Length: 12 Months (Potential for Extension) Travel: Local travel within the Chicagoland area, occasional 1-2 night hotel stays Position Overview: seeking a Construction Manager (CM) to support approximately 20 commercial solar projects across the Chicagoland area. This is a fast-paced, field-based role ideal for someone who is a go-getter, thrives in leadership positions, and can hit the ground running with minimal oversight. Projects are primarily commercial rooftop solar installations (1MW and under) at well-known retail sites such as Lowe's and Home Depot, with occasional ground mount systems. Key Responsibilities: Oversee construction across multiple active project sites Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and DSD internal teams Monitor project timelines, budgets, and safety compliance Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks Manage documentation and daily reporting Lead nighttime utility shutdowns when needed Travel locally with occasional overnight stays (covered by DSD) Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in commercial solar construction Strong electrical background highly preferred Experience with quality assurance is a plus Familiarity with rooftop and ground mount systems EEP (Enterprise Execution Platform) experience is helpful but not required Comfortable working independently and managing multiple jobs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Willingness to work nighttime shutdowns is essential Start Date: ASAP
