Job Purpose:
- Responsible for the daily coordination of the Permit to Work (PTW) system for startup operations. Maintain proper records of all permits and associated certificates raised in connection with operation and facility construction activities. Engage with O & M, Construction & Commissioning teams in the on-site monitoring and auditing of permit to work activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Awareness of priorities, planning and scheduling of works scopes with responsibility to prepare and review all work permit documentation including JSA's and Site Hazard assessments.
- Verify permits prior to approval by management team.
- Identification of plant, equipment, and process isolation requirements within the bounds of the Permit to Work System and in accordance with the O&M Isolation Rules.
- Liaise with isolating authorities to ensure isolations are implemented Carry out Risk Assessment exercises and direct teams in Toolbox Talks as appropriate.
- Under direct instruction from O&M Superintendents issue authorized permits. Monitor simultaneous and adjacent work scopes. Resolve of any conflicts between work scopes.
- Participation in worksite inspections and PTW audits.
- Ensure that all work permits issued are cross referenced (where applicable) to all interacting activity, and that all concurrent activities are carried out safely.
- Interface with FOD Operations on Brownfield projects to ensure proper permits are in place and the process is seamless minimizing work delays.
- Assist with coordination and forward planning to ensure that all permit requirements are pre-planned ready for start of next day's work.
- Taking a lead role in ensuring the SIMOPS is not compromised by the issue of conflicting permits.
- Tracks work permits through the entire life cycles from initiation to completion/close-out.
- Ensure record-keeping requirements are met. Maintains daily permit log, listing permit types issues, location and scope of work.
- Facilitate and participate in higher level PTW audits.

Expected:
- Technical Diploma/ 10 years of Experience,
- Literate in the use of standard computer software programs. Word, Excel, etc
- English Communication skills / Team player/ Time-Management / Adaptability / Willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas Process Operations, HSE practices and application in the field.
