FP&A C&P Business Performance Manager
This role will sit within the Finance FP&A organization, in the Business Performance team, and will be accountable for delivering key business planning, analysis, performance management and control activities. The team leader role is accountable for the business planning, performance management and control activities. The role supports businesses and embedded finance to drive performance and is responsible for leading interventions where required to ensure strategic objectives are met.

FP&A C&P Business Performance Manager
This role will sit within the Finance FP&A organization, in the Business Performance team, and will be accountable for delivering key business planning, analysis, performance management and control activities. The team leader role is accountable for the business planning, performance management and control activities. The role supports businesses and embedded finance to drive performance and is responsible for leading interventions where required to ensure strategic objectives are met.
In this role You will:
- Actively work with business and finance stakeholders to lead all business planning processes including the Group Financial Outlook (GFO), re-forecasting activities and long-term plan. Develop an in-depth understanding of the value and performance drivers of the business providing insights and analysis of in-year, long-term business plans and resources allocation strategies
- Drive the business performance management process, including the preparation and presentation of comprehensive performance reports to senior leadership. Provide insights to support the delivery of the financial plan, find opportunities for intervention and facilitate closure of performance gaps. Support to the leadership team in performance conversations. Perform business specific non-routine processes.
- Maintain a robust control environment, including gap identification, reporting and resolution. Review overall accuracy of reporting, ensuring financials are aligned with Group policies and local standards. Actively identifies requirements for additional process and systems controls and advances or responds appropriately. Challenges non-compliance or areas of weakness identified and investigates route cause.
- Continuous improvement in performance management and MI to promote standardisation and simplification. Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively at multiple levels to drive integration across FP&A with business and embedded finance partners. Provide business context and ensure cross-finance integration
- Provide leadership and guidance. Build capabilities and develop talents to ensure the FP&A team is sustained, with the right resources, tools and talent pipeline to deliver committed and future direction.
What You will need to be successful:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post degree experience in a wide range of complex situations, working across multiple segments and with experience spanning Plan to Perform and Controllership financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Deep knowledge and application of PPM and ARC processes, including digital literacy and analysis
- Deep Analysis and Insight capability
- Deep understanding of the principles of continuous improvement & process excellence
- High level of business insight across core bp businesses, understanding key business drivers and regional dynamics across the global bp footprint
- High level of understanding of the external partners and regulatory frameworks within which bp operates
- Education and relevant professional experience in planning, accounting, reporting and control
- Ability to build capability, influence beyond formal reporting lines and coach a diverse team and drive high performance
- Clear and concise communicator - able to build awareness and support of the wider Finance and Business community
- A passion for inspiring and motivating people to deliver results, experience leading others is a must
- High level of problem-solving skills require
- Strong impact, interpersonal and communication skills with proven capability to influence peers & leadership to make a significant contribution to the business.
- Communication (verbal and written) - Good command of written and spoken English
