Revenue Generation Specialist

The Revenue Generation Specialist (RGS) will serve as a critical support role to the Regional Directors of Revenue Management (RDRM) and be involved as a key player with revenue strategies. The RGS will be responsible for Brand and Hotel specific job duties to enhance top line revenue through brand system management. This role will also be responsible for maintaining key revenue management system(s) knowledge in their identified brand(s) while communicating to the hotels and Regional Director of Revenue Management of key strategic system changes. In addition to supporting the RDRM teams, this individual will work closely with General Managers of assigned hotels.

Essential functions
- Input any/all requested system changes instructed by the Regional Director Revenue Management to include but not limited to pricing and discount changes, demand adjustments, property detail updates, and room type adjustments.
- Participate in Revenue Strategy meetings weekly making changes discussed during the call.
- Review 60-day window pricing of all identified hotels relaying recommendations to the RDRM.
- Play an important role in the Negotiated rate load process while assisting in Negotiated rate shops for various brands.
- Register, attend and stay up to date on all specific brand system enhancements and updates communicating the updates to all affected RDRM team members.
- Handle all email requests from RDRM's and hotel teams within 48-hour window to maximize revenue and RevPAR Index.
- Complete weekly pace update for specific brand hotels to provide the following detail:
- 60-day, 30-day, 21-day, 14-day, 7-day pickup by hotel both room nights and ADR.
- Identify any brand promotions being released that will help in specific markets and communicate these to the RDRM.
- Maintain special event calendar for each of the brand specific hotel markets.
- Special projects directed by the RDRM or V/SVP Revenue Generation.

Competencies
- Brand system expertise with the rate change process, property detail update, revenue management yield systems, reporting, pricing shop tool, group booking detail, channel booking structure.
- Expertise in TravelClick Demand 360 and Agency 360 reporting. Experience with OTA insight preferred.
- Ability to organize details for multiple hotels and multiple people. A strong multi-tasker.
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner to VP's, Regionals and Hotel team on direction and system detail.
- Assertive manner to proactively work with RDRM team and ensure tasks are completed timely.
- General understanding of STAR report and performance measures.

Travel required

Required education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of hotel experience required - revenue management, extended stay, group sales coordination with multiple hotel assignments is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years brand system specific experience in revenue management related position.
- Hilton, Marriott, and IHG preferred.
Preferred education and experience
- Industry certifications through various organizations a plus.
- GRO and OY certified preferred.
Additional eligibility requirements
- Possess general understanding of hotel operations and how operations intersect with revenue/sales
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills, keen abilities to set and achieve priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, function well under pressure, delegate effectively, ability to remain positive and constructive under stress
- Excellent verbal and written communication, effective listening, and presentation skills
- Must be able to work a flexible and adaptable schedule to include infrequent evening and/or weekend meetings
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
