Responsibilities
• Simply, Sell! That's your primary mission. Meet with qualified homeowners, present the value, and close the deal.
• Leverage your solar sales expertise to guide homeowners through the buying process with confidence, integrity, and efficiency
• Present and close a variety of solar solutions, including cash sales, leases, PPAs, and financed systems - you know how to tailor the right offer to the right customer
• Use solar design platforms such as Aurora, Solo, or similar tools to review or build compelling system layouts and proposals
• Show up on time, every time - consistency and reliability are key to maintaining a steady, high-conversion pipeline
• Be ready and willing to drive to in-home appointments with qualified leads in your area - these are warm, pre-vetted prospects expecting to meet a professional
• Collaborate with our internal support and operations team to ensure each sale transitions smoothly through the post-sale process
Qualifications
• Must be based in Vermont or willing to travel across the state and surrounding areas for in-person appointments.
• Minimum 1-2 years of direct solar sales experience with a strong closing track record
• Proven ability to sell a variety of solar products, including cash deals, leases, PPAs, and multiple financing structures
• Proficiency with solar design platforms such as Aurora, Solo, or comparable tools - you can confidently review and present system designs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you know how to build trust, handle objections, and close decisively
• Consistent and reliable - you show up to every appointment prepared and on time
• Willingness to travel locally for in-home appointments as needed
• Self-motivated, organized, and performance-driven - you thrive in a fast-paced, commission-based environment
• Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office
• Proven track record of sales success in lead-generation and closing skills
• Prior experience in the hospitality field is a plus
• Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required
