The Position:

Job Description Summary:

The Outbound Sales and Lead Generation Specialist plays a key role in building our sales pipeline and supporting our business development efforts. This is an ideal position for a motivated, energetic individual looking to break into sales, learn from industry leaders, and grow within a thriving event and catering company. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position provides direct support to the sales team by conducting outreach, generating leads, and contributing to sales-related projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Research and build targeted prospect lists
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate new business opportunities
  • Set qualified meetings for sales representatives
  • Accurately track outreach activity and results using HubSpot
  • Assist with internal sales support, follow-up communication, and pipeline development

Duty Statements
  • Identify and research potential leads through online databases, industry resources, and LinkedIn
  • Execute outreach campaigns to connect with decision-makers and set appointments for our sales team
  • Maintain up-to-date records of outreach activity in HubSpot and follow SOP for lead handoff
  • Assist with updating prospect pipelines and managing CRM data accuracy
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to support business goals

Performance Standards
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable with outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Manages time effectively and prioritizes multiple projects
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and organization in CRM data and reporting
  • Shows initiative and follows through on assigned tasks without constant supervision
  • Displays professionalism and teamwork in all internal and external interactions

Position Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Level Required
High School Diploma required; college coursework in business, communications, or hospitality preferred

Minimum Experience Level Required
Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, sales support, or administrative roles preferred

Skills Required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence making outbound calls and writing professional emails
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot a plus
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Physical requirement's

Though primarily a sedentary role, some physical activity is required. This would require lifting, standing on one's feet or walking the perimeter of an event location for a period of time, and bending or standing.

Occasionally an incumbent will be required to climb stairs, kneel, and lift to 30 pounds.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5:00 pm with the occasional weekend work as events dictate.
