Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a Data Analytics & Power BI Specialist at ABB Oy, Drive Products division in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki. In this role, you will work as part of an experienced and skilled Digital Transformation team that actively leads initiatives to enhance efficiency by automating processes and practices using the latest digital technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for visualizing the performance of customer functions by creating insightful reports and dashboards that drive decision making and performance improvement. You will work closely with core functions like production, planning, finance, customer service and product management.

A key part of your responsibilities will also include collecting, processing and analyzing large datasets to enable business stakeholders to make informed decisions.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating and maintaining Power BI reports by collaborating closely with business stakeholders in different functions within MODP local division. Understanding of business requirements is crucial to ensure creation of insightful reports and dashboards that drive decision making and performance improvement
• Enabling business to use their data strategically to operate more efficiently. Designing scalable solutions that makes complex datasets easy to understand and actionable on daily basis
• Extracting, transforming and loading data from various data sources, importing, and transforming data for analysis (Snowflake, SQL, Sharepoint etc.)
• Developing optimized data models and maintaining version control and documentation of data models and reports
• Continuous development of existing reports based on request from users
• Monitoring the performance and stability of existing reports, data models, and dataflows, and optimizing them as needed
• Coaching and developing the organization in the relevant competence areas and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the digitalization development

Qualifications for the role

• It is essential that you have advanced skills in Power BI and related BI tools. Skills in Power Apps and Power Automate are beneficial
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data visualization concepts is relevant. Ability to handle data from different sources, including SQL databases is required
• Proven experience with data warehouse concepts and with version control and tools (GIT)
• It is essential that you are a proactive team player who can work independently, and have strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in production environment in electronics industry or similar field is beneficial
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Finnish is beneficial
• We also welcome candidates who are in the beginning of their careers
