- Ensure the effective execution of loading and unloading operations on DOTL offshore facilities in full compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements. The role aims to mitigate risks associated with technical malfunctions in the operation of production equipment and vehicles. The incumbent is also responsible for executing operational tasks in alignment with the directives issued by the Heavy Lifting Supervisor and DOTL management.
Job Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the work activities of subordinate personnel, particularly crane operators, ensuring adherence to all required Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards applicable to offshore operations .
- Conduct daily supervision and performance monitoring of offshore crane operators.
- Lead the planning and execution of technical inspections for lifting mechanisms.
- Foster timely and effective communication and coordination with all DOTL divisions and external contractors
- Ensure the safe and compliant execution of loading and offloading activities at offshore locations.
- Maintain sufficient stock of lifting equipment and ensure periodic inspections are performed by third-party inspectors (TPI) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee third-party inspections of lifting gear to ensure all equipment is inspected, certified, and color-coded in a timely manner, as per DOTL's HSE Colour Coding Procedure
- Participate in meetings and conferences concerning heavy lifting responsibilities, including Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS).
- Initiate disciplinary measures for personnel who fail to comply with established instructions or operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily timesheets for all offshore crane operators.
- Immediately notify the Department Line Manager in the event of any emergency.Comply strictly with directives from supervisors and demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Education
Qualification Requirements :
- Initial secondary technical education is required.
- Higher education is preferred .
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Lifting Foreman.
