Role Overview

As the Senior Counterintelligence and Insider Threat Specialist, you will lead and perform day-to-day tasks associated with counterintelligence and insider threat mitigation efforts. This role is critical to ensuring the safety and security of GE Aerospace's operations and personnel. You will work in a hybrid capacity, requiring frequent travel (up to 60%) both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop operational plans for counterintelligence and insider threat mitigation efforts, including investigations.
  • Collaborate and coordinate across GE Aerospace and with external stakeholders to ensure effective security strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement counterintelligence and insider threat mitigation strategies, policies, and standard work.
  • Prepare and present reports, policy documents, training materials, and other correspondence as necessary.
  • Manage security tools, case management systems, and emergency notification systems.
  • Provide direct assistance in security operations, crisis management response, documentation, and training as directed by the Global Security Team.
  • Lead and support workplace violence, personnel security, counterintelligence, and insider threat programs.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a skilled influencer with deep expertise in counterintelligence and insider threat mitigation. They thrive in high-stress environments, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and are adept at building consensus across teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Counterintelligence, Insider Threat, or United States Intelligence Community-related roles.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent speaking, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading counterintelligence or insider threat investigations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Frequent travel (up to 60%) required, both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior leadership experience, including:
    • Leading the development or overhaul of a counterintelligence and/or insider threat program.
    • Leading an organizational counterintelligence, insider threat, or personnel vetting/personnel security program.
    • Developing and implementing organizational threat mitigation plans.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires frequent travel (up to 60%) both domestically and internationally.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.
  • Background and drug screening will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
  • Physical requirements may include working in high-stress environments and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
