We are hiring Wells Regeneration & Alliancing Manager!
The successful incumbent will report to the VP Wells AGT and lead the implementation of wells alliance contracting and execution strategy in support of safely accelerating production and reducing development costs for AGT wells. The activity spans across drilling, completions and interventions on seven ACG rig lines, with future opportunity to expand to Shah Deniz and future developments.
Areas of Impact
You will be responsible for establishing well delivery and contracting strategies to unlock delivering accelerated production by increasing well penetrations from 17 to a minimum of 25 to maximize production from the 340mboed ACG field. The role is also responsible for delivering structural capex and opex reductions targeting up to 50% savings per well across drilling, completions and interventions activity with a current total ACG budget in excess of ~$800m per annum.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the AGT wells alliancing strategy to establish a long-term alliancing model between bp, wells services supplier(s) and rig contractor.
Accountable for set-up and management of the alliance, driving innovation through shared risks, common goals (including OKRs / KPIs), aligned incentives, common ways of working and culture to support accelerated production and D-cost reduction.
Lead the alliance management team (inclusive of bp, rig contractor and services supplier representation) to influence and drive change through the administration, coordination and management of the alliance activities, driving decisions made by the alliance steering committee and supporting the business with execution of the operating model.
Build strong relationship and collaborates with wells, subsurface and production senior leadership teams to lead alignment of strategic projects and contracting towards lower-cost, faster paced well construction targets.
Lead wells support to procurement on alliancing pre-tender qualifications, bid preparation, analysis and award
Accountable for defining long-term regional wells strategy for alliancing, contracting and efficiencies through alignment with partners, suppliers and other bp disciplines; including performance management of delivery
Manage supplier performance and drives decisions that deliver long-term wells and contracting strategies to deliver against strategic objectives
Provide direction and prioritization support to Wells VP and LT resourcing in support of building capability for regional alliancing and well execution efficiency projects.
Manage relationships with NOC and JV partners relating to alliancing, contracting and well execution efficiency priorities.
Ensure alliancing and well construction efficiencies incorporated into QPF long term business plans for region.
Responsible for recommending and execution of simplification and efficiency opportunities including but not limited to engineering design processes and tools, technical specification, execution efficiencies, technology deployment and labor and overheads
Drives the nationalization agenda with thorough talent management, succession planning and capability development of the wider AGT wells organization.

In this role, we have the following requirements:
Job Functional Knowledge
- 15+ years of well engineering and operations with Major International Oil Company in offshore well planning/design, wells project management and well site supervision
- Extensive knowledge of the international oil industry and a consistent record of delivery
- Experience of managing partner, host government and third-party contractor relationships
Business Expertise
- Business acumen, encompassing an understanding of budgetary and contract management, and financial decision making
- Experience of managing large multi-million contracts and sourcing of materials and services
- Deep understanding of wells and business performance management, commercial models and managing service providers, contractors and partnerships
Leadership
- Proven track record of strong leadership experience in leading multicultural teams with ability to lead, inspire, manage and delegate effectively
- Proven capability of strategic thinking and ability to influence senior level leaders and drive business change.
- Ability to integrate on many fronts, including building and maintaining relationships with JV partners, rig contractor and service provider senior leadership.
- Proven ability coaching, mentoring and developing junior staff
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work in multi-discipline environment and communicate at all levels
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree level or equivalent
