As our Project Workstream Lead, you are responsible for overall project management of supporting renewables customer projects. The individual in this role owns all key project management responsibilities including, but not limited to planning, coordination, and communication in support of company's strategic goals. This position collaborates with multiple other internal functions, and actively drives collaboration in all phases of the project over its life cycle. This role will focus primarily on solar projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the project leadership and renewables team by working with internal and vendor stakeholders


  • Ensure project scope and iterations are delivered on time, meeting their goals, and within budget


  • Coordinate project execution across internal and vendor teams


  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives


  • Coordinate meetings with different stakeholders, both internal and external


  • Supply detailed project summary notes to the team and assign agreed upon actions


  • Create internal/external reports within existing service system as required


  • Capture any scope changes or issues and communicate to appropriate team members


  • Assist in establishing metrics to create project performance scorecard


  • Setup and coordinate internal calls or on-site meetings


  • Assist with vendor(s) coordination regarding project deliverables


  • Manage the relationship with vendors, internal/external clients, and escalate issues as appropriate


  • Engage in risk management assessment related to scope and project budgets


  • Perform calls with vendors, internal stakeholders, and clients to confirm and clarify specific components of each project


  • Track project performance, using project management software


  • Build and maintain positive work relationships both internally and externally


  • Regularly research industry and EV / Renewable -based trends, ensuring ABB is up-to-date as a top provider of service


  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned


Your Background:

  • Class B General Contractors License in the state of CA is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the EV / renewables space
  • Prior project management experience


  • Proven skills in guiding projects from beginning to end


  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization from frontline team members to senior leadership


  • Demonstrated success supporting fast paced customer facing projects


  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills with ability to interact positively with others both internally and externally


  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and implement solutions at both a strategic and functional level


  • Strong interpersonal skills


  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests


  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills


  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure and terminology is a plus


  • 3-5 years of direct renewables project management experience.


  • PMP certification is a huge plus.


  • Travel required approximately up to 40%

Time off

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $79,800 and $115,000 annually.
