In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Review, draft and negotiate procurement agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, without supervision, including in:
- Responding, within established guidelines, to vendor qualification documents and contractual requests;
- Drafting and negotiating with vendors, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties;
- Takes the Contracts Lead role on:
- Complex international and multi-BU contracts;
- Complex frame/master agreements ;
- Act as EUR Contracts Lead role on Global Strategic projects related to EUR Supply Chain;
- Collaborates with other Procurement Contracts leads and Supply Chain SME on updating, defining and adopting policies, process and standards for Procurement Contracts
- Develop and communicate creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiation points and issues;
- Mentor and train EUR Procurement Contracts and Supply Chain personnel
- Provide advice during the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals;
- Work with vendors, members of the legal team and other Emerson collaborators to bring deals to closure;
- Analyse business, financial, and legal risks;
- Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports;
- Provides contract-related guidance to Supply Chain, Project Management and other partners in relation to procurement Contracts;
- Work in Contract lifecycle management tools (Oracle CLM, DocuSign CLM, etc.)
- Templates drafting, Emerson standard purchasing T&Cs update, legal research.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A min of 4 years of work experience in a contracts-related role;
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal or a related field;
- Intermediate MS Office skills;
- Excellent oral and written English language skills;
- Experienced negotiation skills;
- Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles;
- Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties.
- Strong Coaching & mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Completion of IACCM Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to Practitioner Level strongly preferred;
- Other languages (German, Hungarian, Italian, etc.) are an advantage.
