The NGL Operations Advisor, Midstream Scheduling supports the Midstream Y-grade scheduling function by identifying and leading process improvement projects, developing and performing analysis on key performance indicators to drive proper decision making, assisting with back-office activities, and providing vacation coverage for schedulers. The NGL Operations Advisor develops, determines, and creates actionable recommendations to minimize impact of operational changes and will work with the appropriate operational organization and support groups to align on execution of the path forward. This position will expose the individual to G&P Scheduling, Y-grade regulated scheduling, Commercial Marketing, Business Development, Accounting and external customers. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to improve consistency in functions and work processes in a dynamic area of growth for Phillips 66.

Other responsibilities include reconciling financial data between scheduling systems and SAP, enhancing data entry processes for monthly closing, and partnering with schedulers to complete end-of-month closing activities. The NGL Operations Advisor will also develop a comprehensive understanding of trade contracts and collaborate with cross-functional leadership to enhance system requirements (i.e. Customer Nomination Portal).

What You'll Do:
  • Understand Y-grade commercial contracts and how they are written to ensure clear visibility to entire Y-grade system supply/demand balances for improved decision making.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and summaries of key performance metrics across all Y-grade assets.
  • Analyze large datasets and create processes to easily visualize the data to drive decision making for key stakeholders.
  • Engage stakeholders to develop and communicate monthly operational targets.
  • Continuously monitor actual performance against those targets and drive/document the actions to address deviations.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly meetings to drive operational excellence metrics and optimization efforts.
  • Lead process improvement projects that reduce non-value-adding tasks and result in time savings and transactional accuracy.
  • Implement automation where applicable to reduce manual time completing tasks.
  • Provide SAP knowledge and assist scheduling with closing activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the front, mid, and back office for improvement projects.
  • Provide change management for system and process changes.
  • Work with directors of regulated and non-regulated pipelines for CNP system requirements enhancements.
  • Partner with Schedulers to improve nomination-change tracking.
  • Coordinate/support responses to abnormal operating events and crisis events.

What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications):
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • 3 or more years of experience in commercial scheduling and/or the oil & gas industry
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Willing and able to work remotely via cellphone and/or laptop computer 24/7 as needed
  • Willing and able to work extended and non-standard hours as needed
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally

  • Basic proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA
  • Business understanding of commercial/midstream operations as well as the downstream value chain

Compensation Range
  • $121,500 to $148,500 annual base salary

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
