The Shop Quality Leader will provide strategic and technical leadership to drive Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality across shop operations. Site Overview:

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories.

Role Overview:

The Shop Quality Leader will provide strategic and technical leadership to drive Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality across shop operations. The person in this role will lead the quality organization at Strother and will partner with the Plant Leader, Product Support Engineering, and the Global MRO organization to drive continuous improvement.

Strategic:
  • Own Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality for shop operations
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership and Staff on Breakthrough Objectives and Top-Level Improvement Priorities for the site.
  • Champion FLIGHT DECK in Quality operations, providing subject matter expertise on methods and Problem-Solving tools
  • Partner with customer teams and directly with customers on quality improvement to enhance the customer experience
  • Drive advanced quality tool maturation in shop operations.


Organizational:
  • Lead a team of quality professionals.
  • Work closely with horizontal team in services, programs, product support engineering, customer teams, and extended quality organization.
  • Coach/mentor team on an ongoing basis.


Operational
  • Assure performance to Key Performance Indicators in customer delivered and in process quality.
  • Maintain strong regulatory compliance for P145 repair station
  • Champion the local Safety Management System and partner horizontally across the network in strengthening standardization and of our global SMS processes.
  • Drive and maintain regulatory and operator approvals in partnership with engine programs and overall network strategy.


The Ideal Candidate:
  • An experienced and proactive professional with a strong background in aerospace or other complex industry. They possess a blend of leadership, technical acumen, operational acumen, problem solving capability and regulatory compliance to operate in a complex environment.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience
  • Experienced People Leader
  • Ability to travel - 10%


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an outstanding ability to interact and engage at all levels of the organization- from the shop floor to senior leadership
  • Understanding of GE Aerospace quality policies and procedures
  • Experienced in P145 regulatory environment and compliance
  • Proven leader in driving Continuous Improvement
  • Strong Problem-Solving experience
  • Strong program and project management skills
