Job Description Summary

The LEAP Kitting Leader is responsible for ensuring the daily execution of customer demand for new make assembly kits for the LEAP program. This role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials through the Erlanger Distribution Center to meet production requirements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage kitting operations for LEAP engine components, ensuring timely and accurate assembly of kits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize kitting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to meet or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams to align kitting operations with production schedules.
  • Mentor the kitting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges to ensure seamless kitting processes.
  • Develop & Review manpower capacity requirements with operations to ensure capacity aligns with future volume.
  • Daily communication with assembly and fulfillment teams on production needs.
  • Develop technical expertise on use of Warehouse Management System, IMPACT, and Process Weaver.
  • Participation in shop improvement projects/events
  • Drives Assy area Daily Management and supports site operating meetings and rhythms.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Execution of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to drive problem solving


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience in warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment)
  • A minimum of 3 years in warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of kitting processes, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
