Scope of Position: The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Major Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating, cooling, ventilation systems.
• Inspect electrical components, thermostats, ductwork, motors, and belts for proper operation.
• Clean and replace filters, coils, and other system components as needed.
• Test system performance using diagnostic tools and adjust settings for optimal operation.
• Recommend upgrades, replacements, or improvements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and facilities team as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Manage and oversee installation of new systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• HVAC certification or technical school training required.
• 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and refrigeration cycles.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
