Job Summary
The Gas Plant Maintenance Supervisor will lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for BaRupOn's natural gas-fired power facility. This associate-level position focuses on ensuring operational readiness, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience supervising a maintenance crew in a power plant or heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Gas Plant Maintenance Supervisor will lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for BaRupOn's natural gas-fired power facility. This associate-level position focuses on ensuring operational readiness, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience supervising a maintenance crew in a power plant or heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on turbines, compressors, pumps, piping, valves, and control systems
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, assigning work orders and managing priorities
- Ensure plant equipment is maintained in accordance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and coordinate with engineering staff as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules
- Assist with spare parts management, inventory control, and vendor coordination
- Support outage planning, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades
- Enforce safety policies and participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments
- 5+ years of experience in power generation or industrial plant maintenance
- Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of gas plant systems (e.g., turbines, piping, motors, instrumentation)
- Hands-on skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair
- Experience supervising maintenance crews or contractors
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance scheduling tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in an industrial environment
- OSHA 30 Certification
- NCCER, NIMS, or industrial maintenance certifications a plus
- First Aid/CPR
- Competitive hourly wage: $28 - $34/hour, based on experience
