Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file UK corporation tax returns, including anti-hybrid mismatch analysis, in accordance with HMRC requirements.
- Tax Provision: Prepare the UK statutory tax provision for inclusion in financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Interest Restriction Return: Compile the annual Interest Restriction Return and assist with quarterly tax payment forecasts.
- Group Relief Documentation: Assist in preparing group summary documentation to support group relief claims and surrenders.
- Return to Accrual (RTA): Calculate, analyze, and post RTA entries, determining true-up adjustments between tax provisions and final tax return figures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal finance teams and external advisors to ensure seamless tax operations.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and direct taxation, preferably gained at a Big 4 firm or within a multinational environment.
- Tax Expertise: Strong direct tax background, with a focus on UK-related taxation.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS rules and accounting standards.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities and a precise working attitude.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders, including executives.
- Language Proficiency: Confident English language skills (written and verbal), capable of discussing complex taxation matters with native colleagues.
