JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

The primary directives of this position is to supervise a small team to assist in providing accurate and timely financial information for the NOV Energy Products and Services Segment (EPS) Ledgers in a format that can be easily used by EPS employees to manage their businesses, and assist in implementing and adhering to processes that will ensure the WT compliance with all relevant governmental and company standards and regulations (GAAP, SOX, etc.)

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a small GL team
• Management of all accounting entries to ensure they are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines
• Ensure results are accurately reported and analysed
• Responsibility for compliance with Financial management Framework within the individual's sphere of control
• Ensure balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analysed and controlled
• Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required ensure that internal checking and approvals procedures are adhered to
• Manage and take responsibility for assigned ledgers
• Support both internal and external audit processes
• Work to GL processes, making recommendation where necessary on areas of improvement
• Contribute to induction training
• Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably be expected by line manager
• Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is foremost
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department
• Contribute to the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes
• Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree-qualified with Accounting or Finance related degree
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
• ERP Systems knowledge

Desired Qualifications:

• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
• Previous JDE experience
