JOB DESCRIPTION

To optimize cost while maximizing value delivery, this new headcount is intended to be located in a low-cost country-India or the Philippines. This aligns with global operations strategy to provide time zone-aligned support for Asian suppliers, ensure near 24/7 operational coverage, reduce overhead costs while maintaining high service levels.

The Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collect and analyze data on customer demand over different time periods.
  • Work closely with the sales to understand customer requirements and market trends, ensuring products meet customer expectations.
  • Recommend changes to the supply network that will shorten lead times, improve on time delivery, and reduce production and transportation costs.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize material flow, inventory levels, and supplier relationships, ensuring on-time delivery of materials.

  • Engage with suppliers directly as needed to improve the performance of the value stream.
  • Use ERP knowledge (JDE preferably) to improvise current processes, cross train other location employees during ERP implementation support projects.
  • Develop and execute projects to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Work with procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery.
  • Execute planned MRP messages within stipulated frequencies.
  • Address exception messages in a manner that minimizes cost and impact to customer's delivery requirements.
  • Review Unusual Demand Orders - work with Sales and Production Scheduling Team to ensure Promised deliveries meet "Rules of Engagement" policy.
  • Communicate special customer requirements (inside GOP, certification levels, country of origin etc.) to the manufacturing facilities/ buyers.
  • Utilize existing excess inventory.
  • Suggest optimum safety stock levels and FC levels for items where necessary.
  • Act as a critical link between customers, sales, operations, manufacturing, purchasing fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor on time deliveries for open demand, expedite as necessary to maintain planned dates.
  • Hold weekly/bi-weekly meetings with regions to review backlog reports and communicate customers' expectations to manufacturing plants and to buyers.
