In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Business Project Initiation: Work with senior leadership and business collaborators to identify strategic priorities, define project scope, and establish clear objectives for business management projects (e.g., market expansion, process optimization, organizational restructuring, or performance improvement). Conduct business impact analyses to evaluate project feasibility and align initiatives with short and long-term goals.
  • Project Execution and Management: Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic projects, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the project plan. Monitor project progress, coordinate all aspects of key performance indicators, and give regular updates to relevant collaborators. Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and scope changes to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Resource Allocation and Management: Identify and secure the necessary resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project execution. Led prioritisation efforts to optimize efficiency and ensure that resources were applied effectively. Coordinate with leadership to resolve resource conflicts and ensure that team members have the necessary support to complete their tasks.
  • Virtual Team Facilitation: Design and manage effective virtual collaboration processes to ensure seamless communication and productivity across distributed teams. Select and optimize the use of virtual tools (e.g., video conferencing platforms, project management software, shared workspaces) to streamline workflows, track progress, and maintain transparency. Establish clear communication protocols (e.g., meeting agendas, documentation standards, response time expectations) to minimize delays and ensure all team members are informed and engaged.
  • Tracking Performance and Reporting: Monitoring project progress against benchmarks and business metrics, providing consistent progress updates to collaborators regarding achievements reached and performance against indicators. Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, or opportunities for course correction. Adjust project plans as needed to ensure alignment with business objectives and deliver intended outcomes.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Keep detailed project documentation, such as process maps, collaborator agreements, and change management plans. Develop training resources and operational manuals to ensure sustained implementation of new procedures or methods. Transfer knowledge to business teams to enable long-term ownership of project outcomes
  • Continuous Improvement Advocacy: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying recurring business challenges and proposing follow-up projects or initiatives. Collaborate with collaborators to integrate successful project strategies into everyday business activities, promoting continuous operational improvement.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on strategic projects in a complex organizational environment. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects on time, within budget, and meeting business objectives.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is required.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and engage distributed teams. Directing remote work operations through virtual platforms and leading communication, conflict resolution, and performance tracking.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate with collaborators throughout the organization. Strong interpersonal skills, such as building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of balancing multiple tasks, prioritizing multiple projects concurrently, and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate business data, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to solve complex business challenges by balancing strategic vision with practical execution, including addressing unique issues in virtual team dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree (MBA or MPM or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • Strong ability to think strategically, analyze complex business problems, and develop innovative solutions that align with organizational goals. Experience in planning and carrying out tasks is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze data, evaluate options, and weigh risks to make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and tools to drive adoption of new processes or initiatives, including strategies for engaging remote team members. Experience managing collaborator resistance and building support for organizational change in distributed environments.
