We are seeking a Senior Architect IV to join our team in Tampa, FL studio, leading innovative design solutions and coordinating complex projects from concept to completion. We are seeking a Senior Architect IV to join our team in Tampa, FL studio, leading innovative design solutions and coordinating complex projects from concept to completion. How will you contribute to the team?
- Define and drive architectural vision across large-scale, high-impact projects.
- Influence firm-wide design standards, methodologies, and innovation strategies.
- Serve as a thought leader in design excellence, sustainability, and technology integration.
- Lead complex projects from concept through construction, ensuring design integrity and technical accuracy.
- Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, risk management, and quality control.
- Resolve high-level design and construction challenges with strategic solutions.
- Cultivate long-term client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Lead client presentations, negotiations, and project alignment discussions.
- Translate client goals into actionable design strategies.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth.
- Build high-performing teams and promote a collaborative studio culture.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Lead proposal development, interviews, and marketing efforts.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and public forums.
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Guide permitting processes and liaise with regulatory agencies.
- Provide expert oversight on construction documentation and specifications.
- Champion emerging technologies, materials, and sustainable practices.
- Contribute to publications, speaking engagements, or academic collaborations.
- Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the firm.
What will you contribute?
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- Licensed Architect with long-standing registration (NCARB preferred).
- Advanced certifications (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, PMP, CDT) are highly valued.
- Over 20 years of architectural experience with a strong portfolio of built work.
- Experience in project types such as (aviation, rail, transit, commercial, education).
- Experience with alternative delivery methods (e.g., design-build, IPD, P3).
- Recognized expertise in architectural design, detailing, and technical execution.
- Extensive leadership in complex, large-scale projects across multiple sectors.
- Deep knowledge of building systems, codes, construction methods, and regulatory processes.
- Advanced proficiency in BIM (Revit), AutoCAD, and visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design, smart building technologies, and materials innovation.
- Proven ability to resolve complex design and construction challenges.
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Strategic thinker with experience influencing firm-wide design direction and standards.
- Strong project management skills, including financial oversight and risk mitigation.
- Ability to guide organizational growth and support executive-level decision-making.
- Trusted advisor to clients with a history of long-term relationship building.
- Skilled in business development, proposal strategy, and securing major commissions.
- Effective communicator and presenter in high-stakes settings.
- Active contributor to professional organizations, conferences, or publications.
- Recognized as a thought leader in design, sustainability, or innovation.
