Job Summary:

As the Sr. Demand Generation Manager at SmartChoice, you'll own the strategy, execution, and measurement of integrated campaigns that generate qualified pipeline and revenue-across paid media, email, events, webinars, and content syndication. You will directly manage a small team (designer, marketing ops, etc.) and expand it as results scale. You'll also deploy AI in the stack (LLMs, ad platform automation, HubSpot AI, scripts/workflows) to accelerate creative, targeting, testing, and reporting. Success is measured by pipeline contribution, conversion rates through the funnel, and revenue influence. You'll partner tightly with Sales and Partnerships to keep targeting, follow-up, and attribution locked in.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct management of marketing staff: hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Resource planning, prioritization, and workload balancing across the team.
  • Oversight of agencies/contractors with clear SLAs and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing demand gen team; set OKRs, enforce operating cadences, and hold the team accountable to outcomes.
  • Create repeatable playbooks, QA processes, and documentation.
AI-Driven Demand Engine
  • Operationalize AI across the funnel: prompt/LLM workflows for ad copy and variants, audience insights, landing-page drafts, email sequences, and experimentation plans.
  • Use platform AI (e.g., Google Ads recommendations, HubSpot AI, LinkedIn optimization), scripts, and automations (e.g., n8n/Zapier) to scale testing, bidding, budget shifts, and reporting.
  • Establish AI guardrails for brand voice, accuracy, and compliance; ensure human review for anything customer-facing.
Pipeline Ownership
  • Build and run programs that create and mature demand (MQL → SQL → Opp → Closed-Won).
  • Stand up nurture tracks by segment, role, and buying stage.
Campaign Orchestration
  • Launch integrated, multi-channel programs (paid search/social, ABM, events/webinars, email, content syndication) with clear hypotheses and success metrics.
  • Drive hyper-relevant personalization at scale using data and AI.
Sales Alignment
  • Co-define ICPs, target accounts, scoring models, and follow-up plays with Sales; enable SDRs with messaging and talk tracks.
  • Close the loop with call intelligence and feedback to improve next iterations.
ABM Strategy
  • Architect and execute ABM motions for multi-location enterprise accounts; coordinate with Partnerships where applicable.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Own funnel analytics and dashboards; surface insights and next actions (not just numbers).
  • Maintain clean attribution (MTA where possible); report ROI with clarity and candor.
Budget & Vendor Management
  • Own the demand gen budget; reallocate quickly based on performance.
  • Select and manage agencies/tech vendors; negotiate contracts based on outcomes.
Continuous Optimization
  • Run disciplined A/B and multivariate tests; evolve creative, offers, and landing pages continuously.
  • Pilot new channels; cut what doesn't convert-fast.
Who You Are
  • People leader: proven experience managing marketers directly; you develop talent and ship results.
  • AI-fluent operator: you've used LLMs and platform AI to speed creative, targeting, and analysis-and you know where human judgment must stay in the loop.
  • Data-driven and decisive: you move budgets toward winners and shut down laggards without drama.
  • Hands-on strategist: equally comfortable writing a prompt, building a dashboard, or presenting to the exec team.
  • Fast, organized, and accountable: you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and keep the trains running.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in B2B demand generation (SaaS/telecom/technology preferred).
  • 3+ years directly managing marketing staff (hiring, coaching, performance management).
  • Practical AI experience in marketing: LLMs/prompting, platform AI (Google/LinkedIn/HubSpot), automation tools (e.g., n8n/Zapier), and/or basic scripting-enough to operationalize, not theorize.
  • Proven record of building programs that create measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Hands-on with LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and HubSpot.
  • Strong grasp of funnels, attribution, and ABM motions; comfortable turning analysis into action.
  • Excellent writing/editing skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
