Position Overview

The Lead HVAC Technician will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, with a focus on VRF/VRV systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair VRF/VRV HVAC systems (Samsung, LG, Daikin, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Perform startups, commissioning, and diagnostics to verify system performance.
• Conduct routine maintenance (filter changes, refrigerant checks, coil cleaning, etc.).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigerant flow, electrical systems, and controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations and industry standards.
• Program and calibrate system controllers for efficient operation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety protocols, and company procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and parts usage logs.
• Train, mentor, and supervise HVAC technicians to foster technical growth and independence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience, with proven expertise in VRF systems.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control wiring.
• EPA 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in varied environments.
• Valid driver's license (required).
