Your role and responsibilities

Indirect Sales Channels & Customers play an increasingly important role for ABB globally, where an extensive network of Distributors, VARs, Resellers, Sales Representatives, OEMs/EPC/PB/INST/SYN or Direct Customers & Retailer may promote and sell the full portfolio of products and services. Indirect sales channels & customers also create additional risk for ABB. This position will work with commercial teams to manage processes governing the creation, risk evaluation and termination of all formal business relationships with Channel Partners & Customers to ensure compliance with ABB global directives.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for the appointment, onboarding, assessment and screening, renewal and termination of channel partners & direct customers.

This role is contributing to the ELECTRIFICATION Team and Stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Lead effort to manage and continuously improve online application process that fully complies with group directives for justification, assessment, screening and approval of channel partner candidates in strict compliance with local and/or national laws
  • Drive appointment process for fast and effective "on-boarding" of channel representatives working internally with commercial teams as well as with channel partners to gather all details required for due diligence. Perform due diligence reviews of all authorized channel partners including high risk partners
  • Complete screenings during new & existing partner on boarding and subsequent periodic reviews. Screening includes monitoring customers and related parties against negative news, PEP, sanctions list and black lists.
  • Conduct and perform risk assessments and evaluation, analyze and investigate alerts that are generated and aimed at meeting internal and external regulatory requirements. Create and complete partner due diligence reports on time (for new and existing partners).
  • Own and drive training programs around compliance for indirect channels and ensure partners understand and acknowledge company's code of conduct.
  • Facilitate channel approval process with management. Deliver updated procedures & training across business on channel onboarding. Monitor channel portfolio and ensure agreements are current and in line with company policies.
  • Facilitate and work with the contract management team to ensure fully executed agreements. Initiate Termination/ non-renewal process for partners that are non-compliant or Hand off new partners to ITO/ OTR teams for onboarding/ offboarding in ABB tools. Deliver routine monitoring on key performance metrics including Compliance, Sales, upcoming expirations and other activities. Work with Salesforce.com project teams and businesses to ensure continued compliance process improvement strengthening compliance rigor. Ensure a 100% compliant portfolio of channel partner agreements.


Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical degree with minimum 3 years sales and/or sales operations experience within electrical industry.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, research, analytical and investigation skills using the internet and provided due diligence screening tools.
  • Working knowledge of risk management.
  • Ability to interact and work closely with business stakeholders and compliance teams.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills.
  • High-level of computer literacy. Proven project management skills (Saleforce.com & IT systems experience a plus).
