The Indirect Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting Caledonian site as well as taking responsibility for defined commodity or commodities. In this role you will use your experience and expertise to support the site and develop a commodity strategy for a specific commodity and/or sub-commodities while driving commercial advantage through achievement in cost and quality. Solve problems, develop and execute the strategy, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Cost, Quality, and Schedule Optimization: Ensure cost-effective procurement while balancing quality and schedule needs.
- Commodity Strategy Development: Create and execute long-term strategies for strategic suppliers.
- Sourcing Execution: Lead sourcing activities, meet deflation targets, and manage supplier relationships.
- Global Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with global teams to implement commodity strategies and meet business requirements.
- Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and consolidate suppliers; negotiate agreements and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Procurement Compliance: Manage high-value purchase orders, ensure compliance with regulations, and streamline catalog usage.
- Process Improvement: Enhance sourcing processes through digitization, simplification, and issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
- Supplier Evaluation: Conduct market analysis, monitor supplier performance, and implement improvement strategies.
- Training and Escalation: Train suppliers on business initiatives and act as an escalation point for sourcing issues.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience in the Sourcing & Sourcing Management.
Desired Characteristics
- CIPS Accredited or working towards CIPS Accreditation
- Demonstrated sourcing and/or purchasing experience or transferable skills including negotiation, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers and implementing contracts to achieve timely execution
- Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.
- Strong PC and database management skills.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly motivated team member in Lean Six Sigma
- SSP5/Oracle Purchasing system experience is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
