IT Business Systems Engineer

For our European IT group, we are looking for a talented IT Business Systems Engineer - Reporting, Data Warehousing and Edge Applications
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
The successful candidate is a motivated individual, preferably experienced with Data Warehousing. You thrive in understanding complex systems and their relations. You can build a well-structured Data Warehouse from complex datasets. Preferably have some hands-on experience with ETL using SQL stored procedures and MS SQL SSIS packages. You have the will and drive to chase and resolve unclear problems, execute small-to-medium-size projects and are motivated to learn new skills and further enhance your Cloud based data processing knowledge.
As a member of the European IT Team, you will own our local Data Warehouse and support the reporting users. You continue to develop the Flow Controls IT environment, participate in projects, ensure that issues are resolved with long-term reliable solutions and that complex enhancements are built to fit our existing environment.
You quickly build a good understanding of our environment and IT Processes. You are a team-player and communicate effectively in English.
• Maintain and further enhance our Reporting Data warehouse
• Handle support tickets, monitor our systems and resolve system issues
• Monitor data replication processes and resolve Interface failures
• Monitor our virtual server park and with the global team resolve infrastructure issues
• Understand the Emerson Sales Order / Shipping processes and underlying data elements
• Document system relations and changes to interface logic, participate in test events
• Participate in and learn to lead small-to-medium Projects related to Emerson IT processes
• Some travel and work outside of business hours may be required
• Support and manage edge applications

For This Role, You Will Need:
o MS SQL knowledge, Stored Procedures and SSIS packages
o Power BI or Excel skills (Data source, Pivot, Excel complex functions)
o A keen interest in IT and software tools
o Good command of both verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
o ERP knowledge (preferred Oracle Application)
o SQL knowledge, understanding of databases, tables and relations
o Data manipulations with ETL
