Job Summary
We are hiring a Solar Laborer / Installer to join our construction team on a utility-scale solar project. This role is responsible for assisting with the installation of solar racking and modules, as well as performing general labor duties to support safe and efficient site operations. Candidates with experience handling ATI and Nextracker racking systems and offloading First Solar Series 7 modules are strongly preferred. The Laborer / Solar Installer plays a key role in the renewable energy sector by assisting the crew in any and all production activities as directed. Job duties will vary based on the various stages of construction. Work environments vary based on the location and installation phase. Candidates must be willing to work 10 hours a day, possibly 6 days a week, outside in the elements, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
- Use appropriate hand tools and power tools to install photovoltaic (PV) systems according to codes and standards
- Lay-out, assemble and install solar modules, panels, or support structures as specified
- Assisting with mounting racking systems, lifting and positioning solar panels, and securing components.
- Setting up work areas, unloading solar panels and materials, and preparing tools.
- Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools, and supplies; maintain a clean work area
- Take reasonable care of health and safety for self and others
- Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor
- Participate in pre-job work planning and safety discussions
- Identify safety hazards and take corrective action
- Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers
- Actively participate in on-the-job training and mentoring opportunities
- Produce quality work that meets plans, specifications, and industry standards
- Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments
- Inspect field conditions and identify problems, taking corrective actions as needed

Knowledge/Skills/Ability
- Basic skills and knowledge of mechanical installation (preferably ATI and NEXTracker systems), Minimum 1 year of experience in related field
- Ability to take and follow instructions and/or direction from foreman and supervisors.
- Previous experience in solar construction or utility- scale projects
- Impeccable attention to detail and delivery of high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Education
- High school diploma, on job training, formal apprenticeship program or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- Experience working as a laborer or in any construction craft as a helper
- Developing knowledge of the assembly, installation, or maintenance of solar system.
- Renewable energy industry experience/ knowledge industry preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Professional certifications or licenses are a plus.
