Nex-Tech is looking for a Community Engagement & Economic Development Intern to support initiatives that strengthen our communities and connect with leaders across the region. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in economic development, legislative outreach, and corporate social responsibility while making a real impact in rural Kansas.

This person would be responsible for:

• Assisting with meetings, community events, and public forums alongside company representatives
• Researching legislative issues, tracking policies, and preparing briefing materials
• Supporting relationships with local officials, business leaders, and development organizations
• Drafting press releases, social media content, and community outreach materials

We're looking for someone who is:

• A current high school, technical college, or college student in the Nex-Tech service area
• Interested in rural communities, rural development, and leadership
• Excited to develop strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently while also collaborating with others

Location:
This internship can be done remotely or from any Nex-Tech office.
