JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a Basra Technical Training Center Supervisor to join its Iraq business unit focusing on leading and supervising all aspects of the programs and the technical training team at the BTTC in Basra, Iraq on 4 weeks on/4 weeks off work schedule.

This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Job Objectives

Proposals Development
  • Identify and source suitable training providers and solutions in response to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Support the development of high-quality technical proposals from initial concept through to final submission.

Training Coordination
  • Coordinate the delivery of all training programs delivered by external and internal providers and partners, including planning and logistics.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal training delivery capabilities.

Training Delivery & Scheduling
  • Develop and manage training delivery and assessment schedules in alignment with client requirements.
  • Deliver training sessions as required, ensuring high standards of instruction and engagement.

Documentation & Records Management
  • Prepare, print, file, and securely maintain all course-related documentation and training records.

Business Development & Client Engagement
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to promote BTTC services.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and generating leads.

Accreditations & Quality Assurance
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
  • Manage existing accreditations and lead new accreditation applications.
  • Conduct exam invigilation and ensure assessments, internal verification, and instructor observations are completed as required.
  • Develop and continually review training policies and procedures.

Logistics Management
  • Coordinate travel, visa arrangements, accommodation, and Oil Field Passes for instructors and auditors.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance
  • Ensure all BTTC facilities, training equipment, IT systems, and simulators are maintained to a high operational standard.
  • Manage training consumables purchasing and stock control.


Other Deliverables:
  • Actively participate in client meetings to design and tailor training programs to specific needs.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Assist in sourcing redundant equipment from operating companies for training use.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and improve training programs and service delivery.
  • Adhere to and promote the company's Quality Policies.
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by Wood Al Majal Management.
