Job description

SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Supervisor - Instrumentation & Control System for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.

Its a rotational role- 28/28

Job Purpose-

Lead and supervise commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Supervisor - Instrumentation & Control System systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Ensure commissioning tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.

Main Responsibilities-
• Supervise commissioning of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, transmitters, valves).
• Plan and coordinate I&C commissioning activities with the team.
• Ensure loop checks, calibration, and functional tests are executed properly.
• Lead troubleshooting and technical adjustments for I&C systems.
• Validate commissioning results and ensure documentation is completed.
• Coordinate with construction and operations teams for smooth handover.
• Report progress and technical issues to the Commissioning Manager.

Profile

Requirements-
• Iraqi national from Basra region.
• Engineering degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in I&C commissioning in oil & gas industry.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system documents.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Strong commitment to HSE practices.
