We are currently looking for a Lease Support Senior SME to join us in Budapest.
The role has the main responsibility to ensure that tools, technics / functionalities and processes are available to end users to properly account for IFRS16 leases for bp group. As a Lease Support Senior SME you will manage system availability, communication, testing & releases, defect resolution and coordinate the relationships with all relevant business units users, I&E and Nakisa.
You will be accountable for sustaining the compliance and integrity and improvements of IFRS 16 lease accounting processes.

We are currently looking for a Lease Support Senior SME to join us in Budapest.
The role has the main responsibility to ensure that tools, technics / functionalities and processes are available to end users to properly account for IFRS16 leases for bp group. As a Lease Support Senior SME you will manage system availability, communication, testing & releases, defect resolution and coordinate the relationships with all relevant business units users, I&E and Nakisa.
You will be accountable for sustaining the compliance and integrity and improvements of IFRS 16 lease accounting processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Implement strategy, lead lease related projects and drive continuous across the group.
- Monitoring system issues, progress - support troubleshoot as needed, validate and test bugfixes and system functionality for newer versions/releases.
- Partner with NAKISA Support team to test and resolve outstanding issues in a timely fashion. Regularly monitor status, provide solution and timely update to management and end users.
- Support the business in their day-to-day operation as required.
- Monitor and manage closure of incidents, service requests, enhancement, and problem tickets
- Ensure data completeness of bespoke reporting and manage actively the increased use of out of box reporting solution.
- Understand, prioritise issues and support resolution, complete action independently and in time/provide guidance on lease system functionalities.
- Ensure quality service delivery through strong network across businesses. Work closely with I&E Product Owner and Technical SMEs to ensure delivery on Security and Technical changes including Nakisa and bespoke reporting.
- As System centre of expertise assume operational responsibilities centrally (batch, unposted and posting error etc.) and evaluate and implement mass functionalities with reliable control.
- Support bp group in analysis and decision making over leases
- Understand relevant systems and functionalities, linkages, and influence change as necessary.
- Understand IFRS16 requirement, business specification in accounting treatment and relevant Group Reporting Manuals.
- Build own, team and user capability for quality and sustainable business support.
- Support assurance over data consistency between SAP and NAKISA
- Support Master data maintenance of NAKISA (FX, IBR, Company Code set up).
- Work with Lease Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assess and deliver end user training.
- Maintain, regularly validate and communicate identified necessary ways of working and workarounds.
- Evaluate and manage training materials, updates, communication. Organize and lead regular business calls.
- Work closely with FA team in support of standardization efforts across the Bp Group Sap landscape.
- Design, document and maintain necessary operating procedures for BAU. Adhering with the tasks outlined in the QMS Systems of FBT.
Essential Experience & Job Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Accounting (oe equivalent), in-depth knowledge of financial reporting.
- 8+ years' experience in an accounting/financial systems environment.
- 4+ years' experience working operationally with SAP (preferably FI, FA or SAP RE).
- Strong financial, analytical and computer skills with SAP and Microsoft Applications (specifically Excel).
- Relevant operational and/or design solution experience gained in a business, OSP or similar environment.
- Experience supporting and implementing strategic plans across a team.
- Exposure working with financial systems and large scale complex data
- Good communication, and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of building relationships and communication across a diverse group.
- Ability to interpret and clearly communicate information, best practices and lessons learned.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability and willingness to take initiative: proactively promote, implement and uphold principles.
- Flexibility and adaptability in handling change.
- Solid ability to manage competing or conflicting priorities with a strong track record of delivery against tight deadlines.
Desirable Criteria:
- Project management and organisational change experience in a multi-national environment would be preferable.
