Position Summary

Internship length: This internship is expected to start end of October/ early November and go until May 2026

Status: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

Location: Fully Onsite in Orlando, FL

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Idea Generation Intern to support the innovation program manager in brainstorming, researching, and organizing creative initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in the idea development process by assisting with logistical tasks, attending key meetings, and contributing to brainstorming and Idea Generation Immersion sessions. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and eager to engage in the creative process while supporting our team in shaping new ideas. The candidate must be comfortable observing medical environments, including exposure to blood, hospital operating
rooms, and live surgeries, as well as shadowing Orlando Health employees in their daily workflows to identify potential areas for innovation. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable with public speaking and collaborating with team members across the Orlando Health system to contribute ideas and support innovation initiatives. This role will play a key part in documenting insights, coordinating resources, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
• Attends relevant meetings to take detailed meeting minutes and summarize key takeaways.
• Assists program manager in preparing materials for Idea Generation-related presentations.
• Participates in and contributes to meetings concerning Idea Generation Immersion sessions.
• Assists with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and organizing supplies for innovation sessions.
• Contributes to completing relevant forms, reports, and documentation related to Idea Generation initiatives.
• Helps manage databases, track project progress, and maintain organized records of idea-related activities.
• Supports Idea Generation Immersion sessions by taking notes during interviews and recording observational data.
• Researches industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging innovations to inform brainstorming sessions.
• Assists in designing and facilitating brainstorming activities, workshops, and creative problem-solving sessions.
• Gathers and analyzes stakeholder feedback to refine and improve idea development processes.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams to support the execution of innovative ideas.
• Engages with external stakeholders, partners, or consumers to gather insights for idea validation.
• Brings fresh perspectives to the team by sharing observations, emerging trends, and creative solutions.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies
• Adheres to federal, state, and company policies, including ADA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations.
• Ensures a professional and respectful approach in all team members, leadership, and stakeholders interactions.

Other Related Functions
• Establishes and maintains an open communication process within the organization to ensure that all individuals feel valued and
heard.
• Acts as a key support resource for Idea Generation projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education/Training
• Must demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired through completion of a high school education.
• Currently a sophomore or higher in college actively pursuing a degree in Engineering, Biology, Psychology, Research, or a related field.

Licensure/Certification
• No licensure or certification is required for this position.

Experience
• Prior experience in research, brainstorming sessions, or project coordination is a plus.
