Other
Plans, implements and coordinates program to eliminate occupational injuries, illness, deaths and financial losses. Responsible for heath and environmental programs to ensure compliance with organizational policies and local, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and appraise conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluate potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents.
  • Conduct or direct research studies to identify hazards and evaluate loss producing potential of given system, operational or process.
  • Maintain liaison with outside organizations, such as fire department, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.
  • Devise methods to evaluate safety program and conduct or direct evaluations.
  • Evaluate technical and scientific publications concerned with safety management and participate in activities of related professional organizations to update knowledge of safety program development.
  • Investigate Workers Compensation incidents, reporting and follow up. Coordinate with Corporate Risk Management and Human Resources Department
  • Compile analysis and interpret statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illness and accidents and prepare reports.
  • Stores and retrieves statistical date, using computer.
  • Enter data covering Headcount, Safety meeting and injury reports, etc in the WPTS system.
  • Oversees planning, development and implementation of the organization's health, safety and environmental programs with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with purchasing team for the purchase of all safety supplies (PPE; First Aid Cabinets, Signage, Fire Extinguishers, etc)
  • Chairs, motivates and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Safety Committee.
  • Trains others as required to ensure all personnel are current in core competencies.
  • Oversees Chemical Inventory and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
  • Reviews, facilitate, and develops JSA's (Job Safety Analysis), enforces and evaluates effectiveness.
  • Handling the communication and facilitation of the import, export and storage parts of product material under the regulatory requirements of the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP).


Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years' experience as an environmental professional in either manufacturing or oil and gas companies.
  • International / Global experience is preferred.
  • Willing to learn environmental and safety regulations across Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh.
  • Experience in developing and providing training courses and programs.
  • Experience in different forms of HSE auditing.
  • Intermediate skills at using Microsoft Office suite including Project Manager.
  • Critical thinking/reasoning ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and have good team building skills.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to communicate with large groups of people.
  • Comfortable presenting at international environmental conferences.
  • Detail-oriented and experienced in reviewing and summarizing comprehensive technical documents.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED
  • Preference for sustainability program development experience.
  • Experience in developing external Environmental, HSE or Sustainability/ CSR reports.
  • Significant experience in a wide range of environmental issues including wastewater treatment, spill response, contaminated land evaluation and remediation, energy conservation and reduction.
  • Experience in developing and implementing reduction plans for energy, water and waste.
