Essential Functions
CITY OF HENDERSON, KENTUCKY
CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION
CLASSIFICATION TITLE: GAS MEASUREMENT ANALYST
PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to analyze daily natural gas reads/volumes for discrepancies and provide technical assistance to field personnel for verifying and/or fixing metering issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Review account volumes and compare them with historical data to determine if a metering/billing issue exists.
• Learn the ERT reading process starting from the gas meter to all the different data and billing systems.

• Review ERT read issues reported by Customer Service.
• Investigate ERT and meter reading issues by utilizing information from different databases, software systems, and field work.
• Communicate with field personnel about ERT/meter issues.
• Track Daily Volumes for Transport customers.
• Review Daily Volume reports for communication/measurement issues.
• Review Daily Rejected AMR Reads.
• Review Weekly Gas Consumption reports for issues.
• Review High bill complaints from commercial and residential customers.
• Run reports and track cut offs on delinquent accounts.
• Complete Monthly Measurement Reports.
• Maintains regular and predictable in person attendance during regular business hours of the City of Henderson is required.
• Must undergo and successfully complete drug test and alcohol screening prior to employment and undergo and successfully complete future drug test and/or alcohol screening pursuant to the City's Drug and Alcohol policy.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
• Inspect and repair non-working regulators and meters.
• Have solid working knowledge of Cathodic Protection systems and related federal guidelines as applicable to natural gas pipelines.
• Able to install and troubleshoot electronic instrumentation.
• Able to install and troubleshoot dial up and cellular modems.
• Maintains odorizers at purchase stations.
• Performs other related duties as required, necessary, or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree with course work emphasis in a technical, mathematical, or financial field; supplemented by 6 to 12 months previous experience and/or training involving data analysis, natural gas measurement, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
