Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the Central Energy Plant (CEP) Manager supervises the operations of the CEP department and participates in performing skilled duties associated with CEP facility operations. Maintains 24-hour emergency on call availability. Attends training as required. The CEP Manager also performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma/GED AND eight (8) years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, one (1) year of which in a managerial or supervisory role.

OR

Two (2) years of related experience, at a the lower level Construction Spec Spv (FEP0530 or position equivalent

NOTE: Must be able to meet the agency's requirements to be an authorized driver.

Preferred Qualifications (Agency Specific):

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:

• Experience with Siemens Apogee, Tridium/Niagara (block-based programming) and Desigo control systems platforms

Competencies:Knowledge of basic, routine and advanced construction drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications; occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade; current trade methods, materials and equipment; applicable state and federal regulations and industry standards; basic, routine and advanced mechanical and electrical principles, concepts and theories; commercial chillers; power plant engineering and operations; Installation, repair and replacement of power plant equipment; high temperature/pressure equipment and systems; theory of instrumentation and control equipment; all applicable codes

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; determine labor, equipment, and material costs on projects; manage projects to meet multiple and potentially conflicting timelines; manage energy conservation and read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
