Position Overview
Under general supervision, performs Nuclear Materials Control & Accountability (NMC&A) functions in support of DOE OSMS project operations. Responsible for the control, tracking, inventory verification, and movement of nuclear materials in compliance with DOE, statutory, and regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned.
Functional:
• Account for nuclear materials in accordance with established accounting principles.
• Maintain proper control trail and update all inventory tracking systems and documentation.
• Balance and reconcile physical inventories against book records and national databases.
• Provide technical and functional support to the Nuclear Materials Control & Accountability team.
• Develop and improve technology and systems used in nuclear materials accounting.
• Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, policies, laws, and requirements.
• Contribute to work assignments of technicians and specialists.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Perform duties moderately complex in nature.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in accounting.
• 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
