CTG is seeking to fill a Project Coordinator - Nuclear Projects opening for our client in Richland, WA.

Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months

Description:
Coordinates project teams of one to five people including planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities. Acts as a specialist for specific projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects. Maintains a knowledge base of new developments and technology. Monitors projects and recommends changes to improve operating efficiency. Develops budgetary estimates.

Duties:
  • Manage small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance as assigned, providing oversight of planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of project implementation including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, work prioritization, resource loading, and work execution including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts.
  • Develop and track budgets, including cost versus budget analysis for assigned projects.
  • Assure proper progress and focus through frequent interface with clients, engineers, related parties, and management.
  • Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
  • Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
  • Support effective implementation of station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Programs.
  • Provide support for outage activities including OCC.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of basic project management techniques.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related project management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field AND one year of experience in a technical field
    • OR Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum AND three years of experience in a technical field
    • OR High School Diploma/GED AND five years of experience in a technical field
  • Desired:
    • Project Management Certification (PMP preferred)
    • Construction Management Certification
    • Experience with error reduction and human performance improvement methods, cost-effective work execution methodologies, managing projects, on-line work management, refueling and forced outage management, or engineering

Education:
  • Required: Degree or equivalent experience as outlined above
  • Desired: PMP Certification, Construction Management Certification

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $37.00 to $48.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
