This Position reports to:
Lead Business Area Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will design and execute the Motion High Power sales strategy in the local market, driving ABB's market penetration and sustainable growth.
You will lead the planning and execution of sales initiatives to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets, ensuring order growth, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also develop and coach the Sales organization to deliver high performance through collaboration and innovation, while managing P&L accountability to secure long-term financial health.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This position directly contributes to the Motion High Power (MOHP) business in Chile. MOHP delivers advanced motors and drives for heavy industries such as mining, pulp & paper, and metals. The portfolio includes large electric motors, generators, medium-voltage drives, and integrated systems for demanding industrial applications.
You will be mainly accountable for:
• Leads the country by example. Implements the Global Divisions' and Business Lines strategy within the area of responsibility
• Develop and sustain a customer-centric culture within the organization and across different teams and functions. Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure a superior customer experience
• Anticipating and addressing performance gaps with timely actions.
• Identifying and capturing opportunities with customers, defining implementation plans, and allocating resources.
• Leading key contract negotiations to secure profitable and sustainable growth.
• Managing P&L, aligning sales costs and investments with business priorities.
• Translating market opportunities into strategies across business lines, building value propositions that reinforce ABB's competitive position.
• Implements an appropriate organization to develop people and the local organization. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

Requirements
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Sales, running a front-end marketing and sales operation with full P&L responsibility and demonstrating a profitable growth record.
• Degree in Electrical- Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in sales and business development in industrial markets, ideally motors, drives, or generators, with focus on growth and profitability.
• Commercial acumen to identify opportunities and translate them into strategies across multiple lines.
• Strong financial orientation with experience managing P&L.
• Expertise in sales management, customer relationship building, consultative selling, and value-based solutions.
• Leadership skills with a growth mindset: developing teams, fostering cross-division collaboration, and promoting accountability.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive, with sound decision-making and initiative.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, advanced proficiency in Spanish and English.
