Generations Southeast Program Specialist

Pay Grade(s): 9 ($30.26+ DOE)
Purpose: The Generations Southeast Program Specialist will manage communications and foster relationships with instructors, students, and the general public concerning our course offerings.
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Manage daily operations of the Generation Southeast email group and perform student data entry for course offerings.
• Recruit students and ensure eligibility and full funding for course enrollment.
• Support instructors and assist students throughout the duration of courses.
• Respond to correspondence and build relationships with students, clients, tribal citizens, and the public.
• Assist management with data collection, reporting, policy updates, and scholarship processing.
• Conduct research, analyze data, and help prepare reports.
• Maintain and update publications, flyers, social media content, and rental forms.
• Keep accurate, complete, and confidential records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities. A comprehensive set of capabilities required to perform job tasks effectively:
• Strong oral and written communication skills with staff, students, and external agencies.
• Proficient in account reconciliation, auditing techniques, and identifying data discrepancies.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite and database management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records, especially regarding student information.
• Skilled in analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex information from diverse sources such as statutes, regulations, and financial reports.
• Capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and performing well under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of related experience
• Proficiency in Office 365 Programs
• Must be 21 years of age with a Valid Drivers License

Physical Requirements. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation:
• The majority of work is performed in a cannery setting requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 70 lbs.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
• Some travel may be required on small aircraft or ferry.
• Certain positions at Tlingit and Haida may have exposure to certain hazardous materials or conditions. The supervisor will review these if applicable.
