SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER is required by our Client, an International EPC, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Mumbai, India.

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to provides direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with the Project Management Consultant (PMC) contract obligations. Defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Plans, organizes, manages, and controls the PMC project with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company. PMC Project manager will exhibit leadership skills necessary to achieve project goals
This is a multi-year engagement and will be based in India.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Health & Safety
- Understands and embraces Life.
- Monitor HSE management system and HSE plan at the various project sites. Ensure HSE critical processes are implemented at project sites and understood and practiced by all stake holders.
- Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to project team.
- Satisfies all requirements of project safety compliance including safety by design, constructability and maintainability.
- Has led or participated in constructability, operability and maintainability workshops.
Leadership
- Defines and selects team required to deliver scope of work. Submits resumes for qualified team members required to deliver scope of work and issues PAFs for approval.
- Effectively leads project team comprised of multi‐discipline/ multi‐location members.
- Sets clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity and budget targets.
- Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
- Implements communication tools and process to ensure all team members are informed about project status and key performance indicators.
- Demonstrates the ability to build support for ideas, presenting alternatives and recommendations persuasively.
Technical Expertise
- Ensures Company methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
- Ensures overall system performance, interface management, coordination and expediting to meet project objectives.
- Ensures minimum impact on the environment requirement of all regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering project delivery workflow and coordination.
- Experience with procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
- Has completed a deepwater development project from start to finish and spent time supporting the field to implement what was engineered.
Financial Acumen
- Applies in‐depth knowledge of customer contract to the oversight and management of the project.
- Strong understanding and application of business drivers, financial reporting standards.
- Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
- Understands project cost buildup including gross margin together with risks that may erode margin and opportunities to improve margin.
- Looks for opportunities to utilize additional Company resources in the execution of the PMC. Manages cash flow requirements, including accounts receivable, and work in progress to minimize days sales outstanding (DSO).
Execution Planning & Performance
- Experienced in developing/reviewing project execution plan covering all aspects of the scope.
- Applies lessons learned as inputs to planning the project execution.
- Ensures time sheets and invoices are checked and submitted in a timely manner for customer approvals.
- Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
- Good understanding of project control reports including management, monitoring and reporting to bring out timely assessment and periodic monitoring of all activities which are likely to affect the project schedule, quality, HSE performance and recommending, instituting and implementing remedial actions, as required.
- Interprets and understands key elements of the project schedule and resource plan.
Communication & Networking
- Effectively communicate and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.
- Implements clear communication protocols, processes and tools for the project team.
- Clearly communicates project requirements, contractual requirements, customer expectation, KPI and project status with project team.
- Creates an environment for open communication and builds high performing team on trust and respect.
- Resolves issues and conflicts within the project team including customer.
- Effectively relates with people across levels, functions, geography and cultures.
- Works collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Identifies and understands the customer's key drivers (KPIs).
- Manages customer representatives and other significant stakeholders.
- Manages Interfaces between various vendors and contractors.
- Responsible for review of various inspection procedures submitted by contractors and vendors and co-ordinate all inspections at manufacturers works including FAT, FIT, EFAT, SAT and SIT and ensure they are completed satisfactorily prior to shipment.
- Manage the team for ensure periodic QA/QC surveillance at various work sites and audit quality program of contractors and vendors.
- Manages and nurtures customer and stakeholder relationship based on established expectations and communication protocols.
- Develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project progress, challenges and issues in a transparent manner.
Risk & Opportunity Management
- Understands commercial and legal risks in the contract, prepares and manages mitigation plans.
- Identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
- Follows Company risk management procedures.
- Keeps detailed risk register that stays current and is tracked & communicated on a regular basis (at least monthly).
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Accreditation/Training: Professional registration in local jurisdiction; Certified Program Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM).
- Experience: 20+ years' experience, including 12+ years of relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience. Demonstrated PM experience leading large-scale PMC deepwater well hook-up projects with high-risk elements.
- Systems & Tools (Essential): Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
