Lead Cost Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, forecast, control, and report project costs.
- Develop and implement all routine cost reports, regularly review cost reports with budget holders to ensure understanding, update estimates, and discuss problem areas.
- Support financial processes as required, including contract progress invoicing, payments, cash flows, etc.
- Develop and provide project variances, trending, analysis of expenditures, and completion reports.
- Review project costs incurred by category, calculate future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates, and risk analysis.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering Discipline or Project Management .
- Minimum 10 years of cost management experience, with at least 5 years of lead cost experience within the Oil and Gas business.
- Thorough knowledge of cost budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and cost performance indicators.
- Proactive and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ERP system will be an added advantage.
