Job Summary
The Senior Nuclear Instructor is responsible for providing Fire Fighting training to Operations personnel in an industrial setting at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry Ohio.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities of the Nuclear Operations Fire Brigade Instructor include:

• Applying the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process in implementing and delivering Fire Fighting training to Industrial Fire Brigade Members.
• Performing training analysis, designing, and developing lesson material in accordance with applicable administrative training procedures.
• Examining, remediating, and evaluating student performance during training and evaluation activities and maintaining appropriate records.
• Interacting professionally with other station departments and outside agencies to ensure quality training is provided.
• Supporting refueling outages by filling a position as assigned.
• Supporting personnel in-processing as needed.
• Performing Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Industrial Firefighting background is required.
• Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes for industrial firefighting required.
• Holding or having previously held an INPO instructor certification is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management across the plant's organization.
• Must possess the coordination skills necessary to independently schedule various training courses for multiple station departments.
• Must reside within site-specific ERO response time.
