Direct Operational Tasks

• Manage all lab and wastewater treatment operations
• Ensure completion of tank titrations and maintenance
• Make and justify departmental expenditures
• Serve as technical lead
• Direct daily operations including scheduling, workflow, and assignments
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
• Ensure employees have necessary tools and support
• Analyze departmental data to drive decisions
• Develop and refine operational processes
• Set departmental vision and goals aligned with company objectives
• Uphold company quality, safety, and confidentiality standards

Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities

• Own departmental results-both successes and challenges
• Monitor team morale and take action when needed
• Support and guide employee disciplinary actions
• Interpret and advise on company policies
• Contribute to policy revisions and creation
• Build relationships across the organization to improve performance
• Ensure employees are properly trained on procedures, policies, and customer specs
• Hold team accountable to rules, policies, and performance metrics
• Oversee employee development-promotions, compensation, training, evaluations
• Delegate tasks effectively
• Communicate scheduling and business updates clearly to staff
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Five years of experience in Metal Finishing Waste Treatment and/or Lab

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field
• Five years of experience as a Supervisor or Manager
• Experience in Continuous Improvement project management

Position type and expected hours of work:

• Full Time
• Generally, works Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
• Occasional evenings or weekends, as needed

Additional eligibility Qualifications

• Must have an acceptable criminal history background check
• Must pass a drug test

This position requires access to information governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
