Product Development Leader - HVAC

About the Role

CSG Talent is working with a leading U.S. HVAC manufacturer to appoint a Product Development Leader.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of new product development (NPD), driving the design and launch of next-generation HVAC systems.

Based at the company's headquarters in Ohio, you'll lead a talented engineering team and play a critical role in shaping the future of HVAC innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end NPD process - from concept through to launch.
• Manage the stage-gate process, ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality.
• Provide technical oversight across design, integration, validation, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, creating a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to align development with business and customer needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in NPD processes and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years' engineering experience, with 5+ years in NPD leadership roles.
• Background in HVAC, appliances, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of packaged systems, variable speed technology, or IoT-enabled controls.
• Experience with stage-gate or structured NPD methodologies.
• Skilled communicator and proven leader of cross-functional teams.
