Job Summary:

Micron's Facilities Team is seeking an experienced and driven HVAC Maintenance Technician Lead - Water Service to support operations at our advanced wafer fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. This role is ideal for a proactive, safety-conscious professional with strong mechanical proficiency and a collaborative approach. You will work closely with water services maintenance technicians to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of critical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain, and solve mechanical systems, including various pump types.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex HVAC/R systems and associated equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards; participate as a first responder on the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Conduct routine system inspections, monitor alarms, and respond promptly to faults or failures to restore system functionality.
  • Read and interpret P&ID diagrams, one-line schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data such as pressure and temperature readings.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, testing results, and calibration records.
  • Perform light assembly tasks using handheld tools (under 3 lbs.) and safely handle chemicals used in maintenance and production.
  • Regularly lift 25-40 lbs. and work safely in confined spaces or uneven terrain.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years in preventive maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining industrial systems.
  • 4+ years of using mechanical, electronic, and software tools to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Proven experience leading improvement projects related to manufacturing or automation equipment, with attention to scope, schedule, and budget.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 8+ years performing preventative maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining industrial equipment, automation.
  • 8+ years using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix and resolve manufacturing equipment issues.
  • 8+ years in maintaining manufacturing or automation equipment, including leading related improvement projects with a focus on scope, schedule, and budget management
