JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead our PMC team on a major capital petrochemical project in the region. Prior experience on large capital projects through the whole project lifecycle from FEED, through EPC / EPCm including construction is a must. While initially based in the Wood Thailand office, frequent travel to EPC contractor's office in Asian country is expected, and successful candidate will be required to mobilise to site in neighbouring ASEAN country during the construction phase.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What makes you remarkable?

• Lead the Wood PMC team providing oversight of the EPC Contractor's activities and deliverables from the engineering phase through to construction at site
• Establish effective communication and coordination procedures with Client and EPC Contractor
• Establish quality plan for review of EPC Contractor activities and deliverables
• Proactively engage with the EPC Contractor to ensure it meets its contractual responsibilities on quality, schedule, safety and cost
• Report regularly to Client on status of project
• Analyse and interrogate EPC Contractor's schedules and progress reports to confirm accurately reflect status of project, to identify trends, areas of concern, and review Contractor's proposed mitigations
• Participate in project reviews
• Support resolution of EPC Contractor's queries on the project
• Review and comment on EPC Contractor Change Requests
• Ensure Wood meets its contractual responsibilities on the Project
• Manage Wood's commercial interests on the Project
• Support establishment of Wood team at site
• Apply / demonstrate the highest standard of business ethics and compliance with Wood core values

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field preferred
• Professional certification such as: MBA, PMP, PE desired
• 20 years' experience with a min of 5 years in Project Management or similar in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
• Experience managing large petrochemical projects, through from home office EP to construction and commissioning including as PMC, preferred
