ONSITE SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE (CHST Certified) required by our Client, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Charleston, SC.

Contract Duration: 2–3 months (50–60 hours/week)
Start Date: Within 2–3 weeks

POSITION SCOPE

We are seeking a dedicated Onsite Safety Representative to support our Clients project in Charleston, SC. This role fulfills the general contractor's requirement for a CHST-trained safety professional on site when our crew size exceeds 25 or contract value exceeds $3M. The successful candidate will work alongside our internal safety representative while becoming familiar with our operations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the dedicated onsite safety representative for the duration of the project.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirements.
• Monitor and support crews to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with project teams and safety personnel to reinforce safety practices.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and engage with crews regarding safe work procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• CHST certification (required).
• OSHA 30 (completed within the past 2 years; OSHA 500 may be acceptable pending client confirmation).
• 3–5 years of safety experience in construction or related industries.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day).
• Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Local to Charleston, SC area (preferred).
