This Position reports to:
IS Service Owner, Master Data

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the creation, update, maintenance, deletion, and delivery of master data while ensuring that it is consistent and trustworthy. Each day, you will provide support for master data management processes. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in programs to optimize business functions through data driven insights.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Global Master Data organization, part of Core IS. Main stakeholders are Data Managers and Product Owners.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Define Data standards, rules for Products and Materials across ABB
• Represent Product and Material Domain in the meetings with the Business and Countries
• Set KPIs for Product and Material data and help organization to reach the target
• Create and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and classification rules
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation of data quality issues. Coordinate data quality activities, define policies and strategies
• Own and approve some of Product and Material processes
• Own and lead Master Data trainings for Product and Material domain and ensure that it is properly revised and followed, ensure that right people will be certified
• Support Product and Material Domain Owner within driving the domain
• Coordinates activities among the Product and Material domain, especially projects, data connections, governances etc.
• Ensure that Product and Material data is properly set, defined and consumed within ABB
• Support systems and data integrations
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks
• Support Data Literacy activities by sharing Product and Material knowledge and training materials
• Support Data Governance activities and align with Governance Manager
• Be pro-active in initiatives driven by the team
• Develop and maintain a metadata catalog for Products and Materials,
• Ensure compliance of Product and Material data with export control, environmental regulation, and lead data audits with Compliance
• Take ownership of consolidating master data requirements from ABB Businesses to help design solutions across existing applications and business organizations to ensure global applicability and compliance with external and internal standards.
• Understand applicable external standards to ensure ABB compliance in solution design.

Qualifications for the role

• Preferably 5 years of experience with Master Data or data management
• Preferably 2 years of experience within Project Management
• Preferably 4 years of experience in IT
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP Product and Material Master Data configuration
• Possess knowledge of SAP MDG (Optional)
• You are passionate about /data management
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt will be a plus
• Master's Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar
• Experience with Senior Stakeholder Management will be a plus
• You are at ease communicating in English
