Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies to build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, channels, and markets.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns that align with sales goals.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff from lead to opportunity, optimizing conversion rates and streamlining the sales funnel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry influencers.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine business development strategies.
- Recruit, train, and lead a world-class lead generation team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Mentor team members to develop their skills, ensuring consistent performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Track and report on KPIs, ensuring alignment with company revenue targets and lead-to-opportunity conversion metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in business development or lead generation, preferably in the software/tech industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and lead generation targets.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with sales teams to drive seamless lead-to-opportunity transitions.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on lead generation or sales.
- Strong understanding of software/SaaS sales cycles and market dynamics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and lead generation platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
- Preferred: Deep understanding of the physical security technology stack (access control, VMS, intrusion detection, identity management, LPR, Facial Recognition, Fire detection, IoT sensors).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with C-suite and operational stakeholders.
- Ability to develop long-term, trust-based client relationships and navigate complex procurement cycles.
- Experience with federal/state/local government contracting is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
